ASIAN MEDICAL STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL
Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) International is the key representative body of medical students from across Asia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond.
Founded in 1985, AMSA International serves as an active, dynamic and exciting student-led, non-profit non-political organization. It liaises with many international and regional healthcare organisations such as World Health Organisation and the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia to train the future medical leaders of tomorrow.
Today, it is home to 28 local chapters that collaborate to achieve AMSA’s vision of Knowledge, Action and Friendship by sharing invaluable resources, organising various activities and social endeavours, and creating international friendships.
AMSA International has many subsidiaries, providing member chapters with a wide range of platforms for students to actively participate in. The main subsidiaries / activities of AMSA include, but is not limited, to the following: Journal AMSA (JAMSA), AMSA International Newsletter, Asian Medical Students’ Exchange Programme (AMSEP), European Asian Medical Students’ Exchange Programme (EAMSEP), AMSA Alumni Club, AMSA International Day and AMSA’s annual conferences.
